What is the ESOL A1 Test ?
Any applicant who wants to apply for a “Spouse” visa is required to show Knowledge of English at ESOL Entry Level 1 / A1 CEFR Level.
In order to fulfil the requirement of Knowledge of Language, applicants need to obtain an (ESOL) at or above Entry Level 1 / A1 CEFR, which consists of “Speaking and Listening” modules only and is passed through an approved English Language Test.
UK-VI Test works in with approved accredited Secure English Languge Test centres who provide this test..
Please note that for “Spouse Visa” you do not require to pass “Life in the UK” Test. You only need to pass ESOL Entry Level 1 / A1 Test in Speaking and Listening modules.
Where can I sit for the ESOL A1 Test?
UK-VI Test offers Entry Level 1 / A1 CEFR Test at different locations within the UK. We are working with Home Office approved examination bodies to offer examinations to applicants who are applying for a Spouse Visa.

How to prepare for the ESOL A1 Test?
Once you have booked your test with us we will provide you with the appropriate study material that will guide you on the format of the test. We will also provide you with sample papers so that you are prepared for the test so that there are no surprises during the test.
We also provide classroom based training sessions with our selected ESOL training providers. The fee for training is separate and varies from centre to centre.
